Royal Oak Hotel

24 Union Street (corner of Union and Pyrmont Streets)

Owned by A.W & H.E Castles, leased by Thomas W. Martin until 1929, by Colin McPherson until 1933, and by Leslie Elvert James until 1938-39. Norah and Leslie also had the Beresford Hotel in Surry Hills, and Kuletos in King Street Surry Hills. Norah helped build the hotel businesses with counter lunches.

The building was demolished for road widening, together with the old Pymont Police Station, in 1948.
