Metcalfe Park
Metcalfe Park, on Darling Island, is an open grass area offering views of Sydney City’s western edge. This was part of the Australian Steam Navigation Company shipbuilding complex, then incorporated in the redeveloped Darling Harbour until the area was rezoned as a residential complex in the 2000s. Local businesses in 2015 created a temporary park to encourage interaction with local communities.
